IOLITE ranges in color, blue, brown, yellow, dark violet, grey, and green. This mineral has pleochroic qualities, which means that it is different colors depending on the angle it is viewed from. The X-axis tends to be clear yellow to a grey-green. The Y-axis is a dark violet, blue, or brown, to a brown-grey. The Z-axis ranges from a clear blue to a blue gray, or green-grey. Iolite is also called the violet stone. It is a major stone used to work on the third eye/crown area in healing, astral travel, and guided meditations. This mineral is said to help one to change "painlessly" toward spiritual growth.

This crystal produces an electrical charge when in contact with ones auric field as it both strengthens and aligns it.
