HEMATITE

HEMATITE has a black/silver surface much like early cameras. It has a photographic memory. When placed in a situation, hematite will record what occurs around it. Once the stone is full, it must be cleansed before it can record anything new. It is recommended that hematite be cleansed with one week of sun and moon energy in conjunction with mental de-programming of the crystal to accept new information. Hematite is called the "stone of the mind", it is used for mental attunement, memory enhancement, original thinking, and technical knowledge. As this stone enhances mental capacity it also calms and removes self limiting concepts, allowing one to "reach for the sun". It helps balances the yin and yang energies and in meditation it creates a soft meditative state, providing smooth grounding and emotional clear ity.
